Something Sensational To Read On The Train

Over the past few days I have been doing some housekeeping of my work Emails in Outlook.  I am really annoyed with myself, and feel quite embarrassed, because I have been making a lot of silly mistakes over the past few months.  What I’ve been doing is making changes using the Word spell checker, but putting in the wrong words.  This was mainly when I had a dodgy mouse which kept double clicking, although I’ve since got a new mouse.  Anyway, I knew that so I should have checked afterwards.

This is upsetting for me, because for the past couple of years I have been coping much better with my disability, and it comes across as if I have slipped back again.  I remember when I first went back to work after long term sick leave, and I made lots of mistakes.  At that time, back in 2001 / 2002, I was still travelling in to work, and constantly felt under pressure because there always seemed to be something urgent to finish off before I left to get the train home.

I know I will bounce back, but in future I must really make sure I double check everything I’ve written.  I’d rather cope with getting stuff done more slowly than embarrass myself with an enormous number of typos.

coping with a disabilatiy can very stressful at times.i know i was born with a mild case of cebral palsy but thank goddess im not in a wheelchair it just left me a little more slower then others.but i accept it as a part of life.and i am glad you are not letting yours stop you.we all make a diffrence in the world.and i think your so cool rock on!

Thanks. With SG's love and support I am coping, but occasionally things knock you sideways. Still I've got over it, and I'm taking time to make sure I don't make embarrassing mistakes.
